The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to terms with forward Wayne Simmonds on a six-year contract extension according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

It’s a big commitment by the Flyers at this point in Simmonds’ career, but he’s good young player and should be a part of their core, and it will also run through what should be his peak offensive years in the NHL.

Wayne Simmonds has agreed to 6 year extension with PHI. Not sure on precise AAV but hearing it’s around $4M per year.
