Kings owners top all donations to Republican party

It’s no surprise that LA Kings owner Philip Anschutz is a hardcore conservative Republican. But what is a surprise is that he and co-owner Ed Roski lead all NHL teams in donations to the Republican party by more than twice the amount as the next team as was reported today by the Toronto Sun…

Topping the list are the Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings, whose co-owners Philip Anschutz and Ed Roski donated $223,200 to the Republican Party and various candidates. The leading Democratic contributor is Ted Leonsis of the Washington Capitals, who kicked in $55,800.
