At 25, Ontario Reign forward Colton Yellow Horn is finally getting a taste of AHL action. The Kings affiliate Manchester Monarchs signed him to a PTO (professional tryout agreement) today. The Alberta native was named ECHL player of the month for January and leads the league in scoring. What Yellow Horn lacks in size (he’s listed at 5’9, 190) he makes up for in goal scoring skill as evidenced by this shootout thriller in December.

Good point. Probably so. That and the guy is absolutely on fire offensively. I’d like to think the best goal scorer in the ECHL could find a home on an AHL team somewhere.
