In an anti-climatic event clearly not associated with Hollywood, last night’s annual LA Sports Awards dinner dished out the following prizes to the Cup Champs:
- Top LA sports moment of 2012: Kings win the Stanley Cup
- LA Sportsman of the year: Jonathan Quick
- LA Coach of the year: Darryl Sutter
- LA Sports Executive of the year: Tim Leiweke
In 2011, Quick was awarded the Kings top moment of the year for becoming the first Kings goalie to record 3 consecutive shutouts. Of course, we all know he wasn’t given a chance to earn a 4th because Terry Murray didn’t play him.
Note: Prime Ticket will air the awards show March 10th at 9:30pm and then about 1000 times after that.
