After strangely being left off the Stanley Cup, despite contributing more to the team than many whose names were engraved, Andrei Loktionov’s time with the Kings may soon be coming to an end.

Not even considered for a spot in the Kings 2013 lineup, Loktionov has spent the year on the Kings’ farm in Manchester, New Hampshire playing for the Monarchs of the AHL. Now comes word from the venerable John Hoven over at MayorsManor.com that the centericeman has requested a trade from the organization.

While it might not be difficult to surmise his unhappiness with his place in the organization, if he is moved, he will technically become the 3rd member of the Kings Cup-winning team to have moved on to new teams. Scott Parse and Kevin Westgarth being the others. Whether or not Kings GM Dean Lombardi actually grants his request is another matter entirely.

Nice work on the photoshop. Can you shave 20 pounds off my picture? Just don’t give me a third nipple or something. ;)

  2. Michael J. says:

Wouldn’t one have to be “in” LA to want “out” of LA?

  3. IN King says:

I can’t say I blame him for wanting out. While it’s nice having a guy waiting in the wings, if someone goes down with an injury, I don’t see any indication that he would be a full time guy with Kings. Hopefully DL can get something decent for him, and wish him well.
